Indeed.com removed ability to sort jobs by date and to see when jobs were posted
old.reddit.comThe commenter shows snips of emails from Indeed.com Support confirming the removal.
Also, the removal started at least a year ago (2023), as reported in this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/recruitinghell/comments/13sdjqi/has...

I found a solution to find the job post date on Indeed using Google Chrome and chatGPT. Note: I am in no way a tech or coding nerd so take this with a grain of salt, but I think I am onto something here:
1) Open Indeed job webpage
2) right click and then select view page source, or Ctrl U will do the same thing in windows
3) Then use the find function, ctrl F to search for "days ago"
4) You're done. You should see a number preceding "days ago" which is how old the job post is.
Here's the explanation from my little conversation with ChatGPT:
"The information you've shared from the source page contains a key detail that can help determine the age of the job posting. Within the data, there's a section that reads: json Copy code "hiringInsightsModel": { "age": "9 days ago", ... } This part of the JSON data indicates that the job was posted 9 days ago from the time you accessed the page. This is the kind of information that can be useful in determining how recent the job posting is. Remember, this data reflects the status of the job posting at the time you accessed the page and it will change as more time passes. If you're considering applying for this job, knowing that it was posted 9 days ago can help you gauge the urgency and potential competition for the position."

As of this comment, the age element is still present in listing json blobs.
Nice! Another method is to go straight to the company's job post - searching words like "posted", "published", and "created" in the source code.
Well, time to stop using indeed.
