Hacker News Best
news.ycombinator.comits listed on https://news.ycombinator.com/lists
So /lists is another hidden page (:
No? It's at the footer.
Indeed, it seems that my eyes are trained to ignore footers.
And the top results of Google. I've recently had to re-train my brain on Kagi where the top results are now ... the actual top results and not ads.
fight that training and you may discover all sorts of previously hidden, interesting details.

Interesting links.
When I click on Ask link, I see the list of questions being asked by other members. But I can not post a question. What am I missing?
I checked your first link but nothing is mentioned about this.
You just submit a text post with “Ask HN” as the title prefix. Same with “Show HN”, it's automatically categorized by title.
That's a new information to me. Thank you for the feedback.
Is there an explanation about how "best" is ranked over time? Is this for the last day or week? Most of the links are within the range of two days.
That would be interesting. Right now looks like it's ranking them based on points.
Unorthodox.
Objective. There is no way to rank these stories otherwise without human interference.
Could easily implement an algorithm that ranks them based on number of new, non-hidden, non-flagged comments during the last 24 hours times the amount of hours since it was posted, which would manifest a 'best' metric where a thread that's really old but still draws discussion would be pushed to the top.

Time to tell the bots to vote!
What about AI?
AI is full of human interference.
that was the joke...

And I seem to recall seeing a "best of all time" comments, but I can't find a direct link to it. Anyone know the URL for that?
Is there an RSS version of "best"? What is the actual definition, >x up votes? https://news.ycombinator.com/rss works but https://news.ycombinator.com/best/rss doesn't. I know of the alternative https://hnrss.org/frontpage?points=10&comments=10 . Is that basically the same thing?
Seems like that "Best" is ending soon to the bests list.
