If you like the game and want to support its development, please check it out on Steam or on athenacrisis.com. excited to have supported this from the early days! i think people might not be appreciating that this is not just an open source game, but its also an opinionated, heavily-in-use nontrivial example of SOTA javascript tooling steup from one of the world's top JS tooling experts. lots of lessons to learn in there. It looks really fun and remarkably polished! It's hard to stress just how exciting it is to see a commercial video game being developed as FOSS like this. If enough of the back-end code to run a private server could be made available as open source (for FOSS-y LAN/WAN parties) that would be wonderful. I can't use https://athenacrisis.com/ in Firefox, I have to kill the tab because of how unresponsive the page is. Experienced the same on Android with Chrome. Thanks @cpojer for this amazingly well crafted, open source love letter to the games I grew up with Very cool! Didn't know about the game , but this is all pretty excellent even when just reading the code! This looks very reminiscent of Advance Wars. Amazing what you can do with React and CSS
