Aspergers folks and their attention to detail, logical reasoning, hyperfocus, routine!, etc are all social disadvantages but huge tech advantages. If you don't have these advantages because you're neurotypical, it does seem that it makes working in tech much more difficult. Hence the 10x difference.
Emotions? Hmm it's not that im a robot,there are emotions but like alexithymia can be cured. The android app that helped me was 'how we feel' which aligns emotions 2d. It's super hard at first but then your skill level increases. But I don't see emotions as being as significant as focus or attention to detail when it comes to being an engineer.
