It is quite annoying to receive promotional SMS from contacts without numbers(ex:DPROM), I am on Android, is there any way to block these kind of SMS? First time I've heard "DPROM", I think you mean AO-MT or just, coloquially, robotexts. Depending on the local law spammers can replace source phone number with a custom string. On Android you can probably change the messaging app to a custom one, and filter messages there. DPROM is just a something I made up for example, what I meant was receiving marketing SMS without a number to block ex: instead of 124 sender have ABC which cannot be blocked. DPROM (Drug promotions portal) is an application that is designed to automate the drug promotions and vetting process. Move to the US or some other country that doesn't allow Alphanumeric sender ids? Or ask your carrier for help? What is DPROM? I've never heard of sending SMS without a number.
