Show HN: I Made a Landing Page Structure Generator
landingpage.fyiI know landing pages are fun and they feel like progress, but to be honest most of the time they are a time sink. Of all the landing pages I built I got maybe a handful of signups, while I could have achieved the same talking to people at a meetup (time invested <5min).
I think my no. 1 startup advice is spend less time pretending and more time building.
The trouble with that is that startup people naturally gravitate towards building things without having a clear idea of what they're trying to sell/what the benefits are.
Building a landing page can sometimes be a useful prioritization exercise in that sense. It obviously doesn't replace building the actual product eventually.
I guess I was expecting it to output a nicely designed website, not text describing the content

I'm not sure if it helps, but maybe include copies that say the goal of your app is to provide ideas for landing pages?
I agree with the parent comment, the impression I got from reading "Structure Generator" was that the app would generate landing pages too, but English is not my first language so it's hard to say if that's due to language barriers/misconceptions
Maybe something like "an App that gives you ideas for building your landing page" could clear the confusion, since "ideas" feel more abstract than "structure"
As a side note, this looks great! The responses are pretty fast!
