submit a URL (or download the extension) for neutralization. Strips bias and emotional language and delivers just the objective, salient facts. Great for browsing biased internet sites. Looking for critical feedback and sites that don't work correctly. Working on an automated version that displays the last 10 stories or so submitted.

> Our proprietary algorithm will then read, analyze, and refine the content, producing a list of neutral summarized points.

An open source algorithm might be more trusted to be unbiased, since a neutral list of summarized points may itself be biased by selection.

if you knew how the algorithm worked then you could bias it. Keeping the sauce secret allows us to impose our neutrality on the world. I encourage you to use it and evaluate its neutrality. Criticism welcome.

A big source of bias is deciding what to report on, as well as how to tell the story. For this reason I also like the idea of “you might also want to read X with a different but related story”. But you would need to get a wide set of sources for X perhaps tens of thousands of outlets.

OK, just for fun, I tried an article from the Daily Caller, about the Maine ballot decision by the Secretary of State.

Output:

1. Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows removed former President Trump from the state's 2024 election ballot under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.

2. Shenna Bellows has not charged or convicted former President Trump of engaging in an insurrection.

3. Bellows was elected as Maine's Secretary of State by the legislature in January 2021 and began her second term in January 2023.

4. Prior to her political career, Bellows served as the executive director of Maine's ACLU from 2005 to 2013.

5. Colorado's supreme court ruled to disqualify Trump from its GOP primary, with the decision currently under appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.

One of a the things that Neutral.News left out.

“The Maine Secretary of State is a former ACLU attorney, a virulent leftist and a hyper-partisan Biden-supporting Democrat who has decided to interfere in the presidential election on behalf of Crooked Joe Biden. We are witnessing, in real-time, the attempted theft of an election and the disenfranchisement of the American voter,” Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung said in a statement.

So, just one data point.

P.S. the 14th amendment mentions aiding and abetting, as well as participating in an insurrection.

Full ruling here. You can skip to the conclusion and get the main points.
