Software Engineer Titles – Let's Get Rid of Them (?)

No one is a software engineer. There is still no professional institute of software engineering, no licensing, and no ability for the institute to strip away someone's ability to practise as a software engineer.

Everyone is a programmer.

Edit: the same applies to management. It is not a profession, because it is not licensed by a professional standards body.
