In 28 June 2023 South Koreans become younger by law

The reason is the confusion in paperwork, legal documents, insurance, and even the administration of vaccines. South Korean President Yoon Suk-Yeol called the traditional systems 'unnecessary social and economic costs'. And in December 2022, the South Korean parliament voted to abandon these systems and adopt the standard age calculation on all official documents. The title of the government's press release was: 'South Korea will become younger!'
