Show HN: I made a website with musical exercises for beginner musicians
treblekey.comHi HN,
A few months ago I made this website called Treblekey.
Since I began learning how to play guitar and piano about 2-3 years ago, I've been looking for a tool to help me:
- learn how to navigate the guitar fretboard
- practice hearing and identifying musical intervals (ear training)
- other things I might come up with in the future
And I thought: "it would be pretty nice if there was an app with useful musical exercises for beginners", which is how I got the idea for Treblekey.
Feel free to check it out and let me know what you think :)
Thanks!
For the interval reference sheet, why not play the intervals right there? That would be a lot more friendly and convenient than jumping to a youtube video, watching a 30-seconds+ of ads, then listening to 1 or 2 minutes of song just to compare two notes. Also it keeps users on your page and they won't get distracted with your use clickbait videos.
That's a really good point!
It came about this way because I have the ad-free YouTube subscription myself, forgetting about the many people who don't have it, and would be plagued by ads like you say.
I'll be looking for a way to allow listening to the intervals right on the page soon, thank you!
