I had been procrastinating a lot while listing my micro SaaS to listing websites that needed unique descriptions.

Until I thought of using ChatGPT as an intern to create the copy. Hoping this prompt helps someone.

"Write landing page copy using the '6 W's' framework to convert leads into customers. Identify [ideal customer persona] as the target audience, clearly describe our [product/service] and what it does, highlight any time-sensitive aspects of our offer or the problem it solves, specify where the product or service can be purchased or used, clearly explain the benefits and value of our [product/service], and explain how the product or service works and how the customer can obtain it. Include variables such as [product/service], [unique selling point], and [desired action]."

Here's how I used the prompt - with information about my SaaS - <https://hirevire.com>

Write landing page copy using the '6 W's' framework to convert leads into customers. Identify business owners who are hiring as the target audience, clearly describe hirevire and what it does, highlight any time-sensitive aspects of our offer or the problem it solves, specify where the product or service can be purchased or used, clearly explain the benefits and value of our screening automation software, and explain how the product or service works and how the customer can obtain it. Include variables such as collecting audio video and text responses from candidates, buy once and get a lifetime deal, and having more time to talk to the best candidates.

Here's the (slightly edited) response <https://twitter.com/hSanat/status/1627533893871214592?s=20>

I’ve been hesitating using ChatGPT for copywriting, in the same way I haven’t used Copilot for anything other than exploration. Part of my resistance is “the principle” in the sense that I’m sick of SEO spam. Part is because I’m concerned I’ll become overly dependent on these tools. And a small part of me, I’m sure, is worried that I’ll become overly dependent on these tools because they can be so effective when guided properly. Maybe I’m more worried about accepting this next phase of generative technology.

there's two reasons I read: for pleasure, and for business

I prefer reading chatgpt style text when I read for business. since I have a feel for its structure after reading so much similar content, my mind can instinctively pick out the 'important words' with little effort, so I can more quickly grok what they're selling and I can determine if it's the right product for my business

for pleasure, I prefer hand-written prose. it feels more like i'm listening to another person tell a story when there are runons and mistaeks and overall tone changes multple times in a single sentence!

Good enough for SEO juice, I'll give it that.
