It's time for software engineering to grow up
forbes.comI thought that this was going to be a talk about the software industry regularly shipping products with bug/failure rates that would result in arrest warrants for any other type of engineering profession. Instead this just seems to be pushing something like ISO 9000, software edition

Just out of curiosity, are there metrics which an individual software developer can use to measure the productivity and effectiveness of an organization?
Because I have seen that there are very large differences, which also can have a huge impact on individual productivity.
People have been inventing these software/developer metrics for 50+ years, and to this day none of them have panned out.
