Founder of Spanish social network Tuenti tortured to steal millions in crypto
english.elpais.com"The Tuenti founder is yet to file a formal report at a police station."
Uh, so this actually happened?
Obligatory XKCD.
>The property where the incident took place is located in Ruiz de Alarcón street, and is a penthouse apartment next to the Prado Museum with impressive views of Retiro Park.
There's stuff to steal there no matter how much he hodls.

The word torture only appears in the HN headline.
It's the only source I found in English. Sources in Spanish mention being hit with a bat, cuts on the chest and being tasered.
"He opened it to find four or five hooded men" ....more like one or two I'm guessing
If the attackers "covered up the security cameras with items of clothing as soon as they entered the property.", then there will be plenty of footage for the police to review showing he lied, quite aside from all of the cameras they would have passed on their way to a luxury penthouse apartment next to a museum in the middle of a national capital.
