It's funny that a website called "uxdesign.cc" would use non-linked footnotes, which you cannot even find by scrolling to the bottom of the page since there you'll find a bunch of snippets from different articles.

Very nice story! Gary Kitchen went on to make some great Atari 2600 video games including Donkey Kong. He went on to a long career but recently has returned to his roots with a series of new games for the 2600. https://adgm.us/portal/guide01D.html

    He also created "Gary Kitchen's Gamemaker" a mid 1980s system that was quite similar to the "fantasy consoles" of today like Pico-8 and TIC-80, providing a simple IDE to create games.

This is such a cool story. It reminds me of my senior project in university. I had to fit 4k assembly on this tiny microcontroller for a robot that used sonar and infrared sensors for obstacle avoidance. It makes me want to go out and build a new toy.
