It allows SAAS companies to sell the cashflow from subscriptions at the total yearly value of those subscriptions (discounted to account for things like credit risk and the time value of money). So if you have 10 subscribers at $100 a month and $0 in the bank, you can promise to give a counterparty the $1000 month in return for say, $11000 (no idea what the actual number would look like).
Just wondering if the market big enough for such services?
